Medical assistants assist with the day-to-day operations of medical offices and or facilities. A fully trained medical assistant provides the support doctors and nurses need to do their work safely and efficiently.

Medical Assistant Curriculum

The medical assistant diploma program at Concorde covers medical front office procedures, computer applications, medical record keeping, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathology and clinical skills including vital sign measurements, blood draws, injections, EKG and other laboratory diagnostic procedures.

You’ll have the opportunity to complete this program in as few as nine months* at our Miramar, FL campus.

Blended Learning Format
Our medical assistant diploma program offers you more control over your schedule with a blend of online coursework and hands-on labs. You’ll complete some of your theory and lecture coursework online, meaning you may reduce the amount of time you spend on campus while covering the same amount of material as a traditional, fully in-person program.

Move On to an Associate Degree

After completing your medical assistant program with Concorde in Miramar, you may be eligible to block transfer your credit toward our online Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting degree completion program hosted through Concorde Career College in Memphis.

As a Concorde graduate, you’ll receive 35 semester credits as a block transfer when enrolling in the Memphis AAS degree. You’ll also be exempt from any additional entrance requirements.

Graduates of medical assistant programs at other accredited institutions may also be eligible for block transfer of credit, but will need to meet all other entrance requirements. Terms apply. For more details, please see our catalog.
