Program Facts

Learn to conduct sleep studies that help diagnose sleep apnea and other disorders.

Train on real-world equipment in labs; gain real-world clinical experience, too.

Complete your diploma program in as few as eight months of study.
Program Overview
Polysomnographic technicians (PSTs, also known as “sleep technicians”) perform the diagnostic tests necessary to help understand why patients have trouble sleeping. By recording patient brain and breathing activity overnight, PSTs gather the data doctors need to treat patients and help them improve their quality of rest. If you like to work nights and aren’t intimidated by machines, a career as a PST could be perfect for you. At Concorde San Bernardino, you can earn a PST diploma in as few as eight months.
Polysomnographic Technology Curriculum
The PST diploma program teaches you the health science theory behind sleep studies. You’ll practice setting up and carrying out tests in our labs, then complete clinical experiences to apply what you’ve learned in real work settings.
After graduation, you will be eligible to sit for the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT international credential).
