Program Overview

Cardiovascular sonographers (CVS) help diagnose problems with the heart and vascular system (veins, arteries, etc.). They use ultrasound waves to create images and video of how the heart functions so physicians can identify and treat problems with their patients, such as clogged arteries, blood clots, deep vein thromboses, irregular heartbeats, and more.

The CVS degree at Concorde in Dallas teaches you fundamental cardiovascular medicine concepts and practical techniques for taking heart sonograms, echocardiograms, vascular sonograms, and more. You’ll also learn how to record and evaluate data gathered during your tests.
