Program Overview
Train to become a vital member of the healthcare team—and to qualify to pursue roles in a variety of health care settings. Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) provide basic care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and physicians.
LPNs do everything from helping feed new babies, changing bandages in acute care, keeping chemotherapy patients comfortable during treatment, and helping older patients maintain health and dignity. They also update patient charts and communicate important information to the rest of the healthcare team. In this program you’ll have the opportunity to learn intravenous (IV) skills and obtain certification† that may offer the potential for increased wages from some employers in the area.
Students may complete their diploma in as few as 10 months.*
